Building a home can seem very intimidating. Where do you start? Who do you need to talk to first? Does the on-site agent really have the buyers’ best interest in mind? We get it. There are so many different variables to consider, but we want you to know that our on-site agents have your back from start to finish and ALWAYS have the buyer’s best interest in mind. They listen to home buyers’ wants and needs, discuss dreams and plans, and help them find the best lot with the best builder for the best home!
First things first, let’s talk with a lender.
The Loan
Options for Carrying the Loan
Additionally, a lender could give you the pros and cons of carrying the construction loan yourself. While there are some benefits of doing so, there are also options for the builder to carry. So, what is a construction loan? The construction loan is a short-term loan covering building costs through the construction of the home—the permanent loan then rolls that over into a long-term loan (15, 20, or 30 year).

Pick Your Lot
Go Out On-site and Walk the Lot

When picking your lot, you’ll want to get a true feel for the location, view, and everything else surrounding. We encourage our home buyers to visit at different times of the day to better visualize their home morning, midday, and evening (especially evening!).
Going on-site will also help you better determine what is most important to you and your family, whether it’s a water view, in a cul-de-sac, north facing, or with the maximum amount of privacy.
