This last year and a half have truly shown that no matter what life throws at you, the time continues on. Does anyone else feel like they are still trying to trudge through 2020, yet here we are in June 2021? I mean, June…. halfway through 2021. Where did the time even go? It seems like we went from the absolute s l o w e s t year ever to what is turning out to be the fastest year ever.
Although the rest of the world seemed to stop in 2020, the real estate market went into hyper speed—especially the new construction homes. Fortunately for us, that means we were able to continue with business while taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our employees and co-ops. So how about a mid-year residential development update to get the rest of the Wichita and Goddard caught up with what we have been up to.
Our oldest current development, Bay Country, is still trucking along. We have two lots available for custom homes and a couple of spec (move-in-ready) homes that are currently under construction. These new homes and lots are all located along the water in Bay Country and have a beautiful view!
Although the homes currently being built are by Keystone Construction, Inc, we have three other new home builders that are approved to build in our development: Beverlin Custom Homes, Moeder Construction, and Vision Homes. All four of these builders have homes in our Goddard, KS new home development, Arbor Creek, that are available for touring and pulling ideas from.
The boutique community. The wildflower and native grass development. The perfect little place for families of all sizes. Estancia has proven to be a stand-out new home community with each season. Phase III of this community started back in September and has had lots flying onto the sales table left and right. New home buyers are loving the smaller design of this neighborhood without having to give up the amenities that one might have in a larger development. The streets are designed with safety in mind and the landscaping was planned to produce immaculate beauty.
Currently, there are 21 lots still available in this final phase. Home buyers have the option of building in any of our three phases. There are lots available along the water reserves, near the clubhouse and pool, and towards the back of the developments with limited neighbors.
If there’s one development that our entire office gawks at, it’s Arbor Creek. Each day brings a new surprise (in a good way) that we just can’t help but to get excited about! Just driving through the entry gets us all giddy! The new homes in this community are perfect for the clientele and the area and the neighborhood as a whole. A little rustic. A little modern. A little luxurious. A little mix of everything. The new home builders and home buyers are blowing us away with their ideas and designs.
Additionally, the landscape it, well…. You should just drive through and see for yourself. We could talk for days about how amazing nature is and the vegetation that it produces. We haven’t even had to touch a lot of it. This new neighborhood is basically developing itself.
As for the lot availability, model home updates, and clubhouse construction, those are all progressing nicely as well! We only have 20 lots left in this first phase (!!!) and each day that number dwindles a little more. Each lot is large and perfect for any home buyer to let their mind roam with ideas and plans for their new home. Our builders have the same opportunity. The new model homes are under construction now and are set to complete this September. We are incredibly excited to see where the new home designs are taken!
The concrete for Arbor Creek’s clubhouse has been poured and the community can now see progress in the planning and developing of this amenity driven site. It’s the moment we have all been waiting on. This clubhouse will have so many features, such as an exercise room, pool, pickleball courts, fire pits, dog park, playground, and more.
Although there are plenty of “behind the scenes” actions taking place, there are not a lot of visual updates happening at The Coves. However, new home buyers can expect to see some updates and lot sales happening in the near future. Stay tuned with this development for announcements on builders, lot prices, and pre-sale!
